Emmanuel King, the recently hired technical adviser for the El-Kanemi Warriors, has pledged to lead the team back to the Nigeria Premier Football League immediately. The club, often called the Borno Army, dropped into the Nigeria National League following their performance last season. King was officially introduced to the Maiduguri-based team this past Friday.
During his unveiling, King emphasized his commitment to the 2026-27 season objectives. He told supporters that his staff would put in maximum effort to regain their top-flight status. Beyond league play, King voiced optimism regarding the squad’s performance in the CAF Confederation Cup. Despite the difficulties inherent in such tournaments, he aims to field a competitive side. He believes that with fan backing and prayers, the team can successfully reach its targets.
