A faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) directed by National Chairman Nafiu Bala Gombe has officially registered its slate of candidates for the 2027 general elections. The party successfully transmitted the information for its presidential, vice-presidential, and national assembly hopefuls through the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) online platform.
Nafiu confirmed the filing in a Sunday statement, though he opted not to release the specific identities of the individuals submitted. He emphasized that the leadership is dedicated to selecting candidates characterized by their competence and commitment to the public interest. According to the chairman, this move serves to protect the influence of the party’s original members against perceived undemocratic actions. The group maintains that its objective is to foster governance that offers genuine hope and progress for the Nigerian citizenry.
