Mustapha Sule Lamido, the Jigawa State governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has encouraged young voters to leverage their population size to remove the aging political class during the 2027 elections. The appeal was made during a visit to Sintilmawa village in the Ringim Local Government Area.
Speaking on behalf of Lamido, Comrade Aminu Abdullahi Ringim noted that both the nation and Jigawa State require fresh, vibrant leadership that aligns with the goals of the younger demographic. He argued that the traditional leadership approach has consistently failed to meet the requirements of today’s youth.
Lamido highlighted that young people make up nearly 80 percent of the voting population, granting them the ability to dictate the outcome of future elections. He challenged the youth to take ownership of their future rather than remaining passive observers. Comrade Aminu reiterated that the destiny of the region lies with the younger generation, calling on them to engage fully in the electoral process to ensure significant progress.
