Soldiers from Sector 2 of Operation FANSAN YAMMA successfully shut down an unauthorized arms production facility in Kebbi State, seizing five handmade rifles. This mission was driven by specific intelligence regarding a site used to create and distribute firearms to criminal factions across the North-West.

Lt-Col Aliyu Danja, the spokesperson for the operation, confirmed that forces raided the concealed property and took two individuals into custody. These suspects are presently being questioned to uncover details about their associates, financial backers, and the logistics of their supply chain. The military executed this mission alongside partner security organizations, marking a collaborative success in the broader effort to suppress regional banditry.

Officials described the raid as a major setback for gangs reliant on local weapon manufacturing. Investigations are ongoing to locate other involved parties and fully dismantle the infrastructure of this criminal syndicate.
