A community leader lost his life while security forces fought off an armed bandit raid in Yankamaye Ward, located in the Tsanyawa Local Government Area of Kano State. The event was confirmed through a social media update posted Wednesday by security expert Bakatsine.
Reports indicate that the criminals launched an offensive on the village, triggering a violent firefight with law enforcement. The soldiers and police successfully pushed back the invaders, who were eventually compelled to retreat after incurring substantial casualties. During the operation, security teams managed to retrieve a significant number of cattle that the gunmen had previously seized.
While the mission was officially categorized as a success for the security forces, the violence resulted in the death of the village head of Takatsaba. Bakatsine extended his condolences, praying for the deceased to find peace while expressing sympathy for the affected families and the local community.
