The House of Representatives committee investigating the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has declared that the appointment credentials provided by Adeniyi Adeyemi are fraudulent. Adeyemi, who claims to lead the organization as Director-General, failed to appear before the panel as the inquiry continued in Abuja on Wednesday.
Committee Chairman Yusuf Gagdi confirmed that official investigations by relevant government bodies determined the appointment letter and the supporting Act are counterfeit. During the proceedings, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, testified that the documents Adeyemi submitted were not genuine.
The session was attended by representatives from the Inspector-General of Police, including Deputy Commissioner Olufemi Akinola and Assistant Commissioner Bashir Abdullahi. Previously, the committee ruled that the PFIPC was established illegally and ordered the police to bring Adeyemi before the panel within 48 hours.
