Ladipo Johnson, the spokesperson for Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, confirmed that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, feels dissatisfied with the ongoing leadership conflict inside the OK Movement. Johnson shared these details during a recent discussion on Arise Television.
While conceding that internal disputes exist, Johnson emphasized that these challenges will not derail the movement’s preparations for the 2027 general election. He labeled the current unrest a transient annoyance, counseling followers to remain unified rather than letting the friction damage the potential Obi-Kwankwaso partnership.
Johnson warned that individuals should refrain from making impulsive decisions that might generate hostility or sabotage the mission to elect their preferred candidate. He highlighted that the tension stems from internal grievances between members and movement leaders, yet he remains optimistic about a resolution. During a recent meeting with the presidential candidate and the Director General, Johnson observed that Obi expressed clear frustration regarding the unfolding events.
