Kwankwaso Challenges Ganduje Following Criticism of 2027 NDC Presidential Bid

Rabiu Kwankwaso hits back at Abdullahi Ganduje after the APC leader labeled the Obi-Kwankwaso 2027 presidential ticket a failure in Kano State.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the vice presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has addressed negative comments made by Abdullahi Ganduje, the former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Earlier this week, Ganduje asserted that the combined ticket of Peter Obi and Kwankwaso would be unsuccessful in securing Kano State during the 2027 elections. He went as far as to describe their candidacy as dead on arrival, citing a supposed lack of leadership capability and political influence.

During an appearance on News Central TV, Kwankwaso dismissed Ganduje’s assessment as unfounded. He reminded the public that he had previously assisted Ganduje in 2015 before later defeating him in the 2023 political cycle. Kwankwaso questioned Ganduje’s current influence, noting that if Ganduje was unable to overcome him while serving as governor, he has even less capacity to do so now.
