Members of the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum, representing the All Progressives Congress in the Kogi East Senatorial District, have firmly stated that they will not align with opposition parties in the upcoming 2027 elections. In an official release, the group also pledged its full backing for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
State Coordinator Philips Sani issued the statement following a strategy session focused on securing victories for APC candidates. Sani defended the President’s performance, asserting that he has managed difficult conditions inherited since taking office in 2023. Key attendees at the meeting included Florence Achoba and Peter Egwudah.
The group emphasized that their support for the APC is rooted in the belief that the ruling party is the most effective vehicle for regional and national development. During the proceedings, Egwudah urged the President to finalize the bill creating the Federal Medical Centre in Ankpa and to authorize the development of the Otuocha-Ibaji-Idah Road.
