Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has officially chosen Jerry Adams, the head of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), to be his running mate for the upcoming 2027 gubernatorial race. Sani stated that this selection reflects his administration’s dedication to fairness, justice, and inclusive governance.
Following extensive deliberation and consultation, the governor explained that this choice serves to strengthen unity within the state. He emphasized that Kaduna’s ethnic and religious diversity is a vital asset, and his government has focused on promoting a sense of belonging for all residents since he took office in May 2023. This effort includes development projects across the 23 local government areas in infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
The governor praised Jerry Adams as a highly capable public servant who revolutionized KADIRS through transparency and professional management. He noted that the enhanced revenue collection under Adams’ leadership has provided the necessary funds to improve public services. Sani further highlighted his running mate’s personal integrity and commitment to reconciliation.
