Nigerian music artist David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has publicly challenged the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party holds its massive campaign rally in Osogbo. Top officials, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio and APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, have converged on the Osun State capital alongside numerous party governors to support the upcoming Saturday election.
Key political figures such as Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani arrived in the city on Wednesday night. Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and a former Osun State governor, officially welcomed these party leaders through his social media account.
Davido, however, took to X to express his skepticism regarding the APC’s chances of securing a victory. He explicitly stated that the party would face defeat regardless of the caliber of individuals supporting their campaign. The musician’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, is the current governor of Osun State and is running for another term under the Accord Party banner.
