With the Osun gubernatorial election scheduled for this Saturday, APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has publicly asserted that the state will remain under his party’s control. Igbokwe shared this perspective on his Facebook page this Wednesday.
He argued that the existing political climate, combined with President Bola Tinubu being a native of Osun, provides the APC with a significant edge. In his statement, Igbokwe declared his confidence in an APC victory, suggesting that the party’s dominance is beyond question.
The upcoming contest is primarily expected to be a race between the APC and the Accord Party. Meanwhile, Governor Ademola Adeleke has accused the ruling party of utilizing federal influence to pressure his supporters and leadership members ahead of the voting process.
