The Iranian government has labeled the United States as the main source of current turbulence within the Middle East. Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, issued this claim to challenge assertions made by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about regional armed factions.
Baghaei rejected Rubio’s suggestions that Iranian-backed organizations are responsible for the ongoing unrest. Instead, he argued that Washington’s foreign policy acts as a fundamental obstruction to regional peace. Writing on the platform X, Baghaei stated that claims blaming Iran will not deceive the public. He further contended that stability is impossible while American military involvement persists and Israel continues its operations, which he characterized as atrocities.
Meanwhile, Rubio confirmed that representatives from the United States and Iran are slated to meet for technical talks in Switzerland early next week. The discussions are anticipated to resume around the 29th or 30th of the month.
