Harry Maguire Pens New Manchester United Deal Through 2027

Manchester United has officially announced that veteran defender Harry Maguire has committed his future to the club, signing a contract extension that runs until June 2027.

The agreement also includes a unilateral option for the club to extend the deal by an additional twelve months.

The 33-year-old England international was previously set to see his contract expire at the end of the current season.

Since his high-profile £80 million arrival from Leicester City in 2019, Maguire has amassed 266 appearances and netted 17 goals for the Red Devils.

His recent resurgence under interim manager Michael Carrick proved pivotal, not only stabilizing United’s backline but also earning the center-back a return to the England national team during the March international break.

Reflecting on the new deal, Maguire described playing for the club as a “supreme honor” and expressed his conviction that the squad’s most successful days are on the horizon.

United’s Director of Football, Jason Wilcox, emphasized that Maguire’s leadership and extensive experience are critical assets for the club’s developing roster as they pursue major silverware.
