Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has invited National Youth Service Corps members deployed to the region to fully integrate and find comfort during their tenure. This encouragement arrives despite persistent security challenges within the state.
During an official visit to Biu on Wednesday, the governor addressed the corps members directly, promising them a hospitable environment and highlighting his commitment to their protection. He emphasized that the state considers them part of the community and urged them to make the most of their service year.
Zulum further explained that his administration prioritizes youth empowerment as a cornerstone for economic restoration and community development. He stressed that investing in the younger generation is essential for the future of Borno.
In a related development, the governor met with the Emir of Biu, Alhaji Mustapha Umar Mustapha II, where he unveiled a plan to provide jobs for 100 local graduates from the Biu area.
