Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State recently stated that President Bola Tinubu has been vital to the success of regional road and infrastructure initiatives. During the launch of 11 road projects in the Zaria and Sabon Gari regions, Sani highlighted the President’s influence on major federal undertakings, most notably the upcoming Kaduna Light Rail project.
This initiative, valued at N1 trillion, will benefit only Kaduna and Lagos, marking a significant advancement for urban transit. According to the Governor, work will begin within two months. Additionally, construction on the Mando-Birnin Gwari road is set to start in a week, following the release of over N100 billion by the President for that specific connection. Sani noted that these developments are part of the broader Urban Renewal and Rural Transformation Programme aimed at bolstering trade and community access.
The Governor urged citizens to support President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress to ensure continued growth. He also endorsed House Speaker Tajudeen Abbas for re-election. Speaker Abbas, who spoke at the event, praised the President’s focus on education, noting the conversion of several local institutes into federal universities, including the Federal College of Education in Zaria and plans to transition Kaduna Polytechnic into a Federal University of Technology.
