Ahmed Ajibola, widely known as General H, has stepped down from his role as the Oyo State Coordinator for the City Boy Movement. He cited irreconcilable disagreements regarding the organization’s regional management as the primary reason for his departure.
Despite leaving the group, Ajibola emphasized that his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda remains intact. He explicitly stated his ongoing support for the President’s potential re-election campaign in 2027. In a social media statement released Friday, he refuted claims that he had been fired or that he had spoken poorly of the President, Seyi Tinubu, or other organizational leaders.
Ajibola clarified that he was not removed but rather chose to resign after declining two new appointments offered to him—one as a state-level director and another as a regional stakeholder coordinator. He challenged those spreading rumors to provide any documentation of his alleged dismissal, noting that no such record exists. He maintained that his exit was a principled choice rather than a result of personal animosity.
He expressed concerns regarding the current trajectory of the Oyo State branch, noting that recent internal decisions conflicted with his standards of fairness and transparency. Despite these grievances, he reiterated his unwavering dedication to the President’s success, urging the public to ignore false narratives regarding his resignation. Reflecting on his tenure, Ajibola thanked his colleagues for their efforts and stated he is moving on with his integrity and conscience clear.
