Five Suspected Cultists Arrested in Akwa Ibom, Firearms Recovered
The Akwa Ibom Police Command has apprehended five suspected cultists and seized firearms in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area.
Command spokesperson DSP Timfon John announced this in a statement on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Uyo.
John revealed that the suspects were arrested at their hideout in Ikot Etuk village on Wednesday, following credible intelligence.
During the operation, police recovered a locally made pistol, a fabricated single-barrel gun, and various charms.
The suspects have since provided valuable information to authorities about their activities.
“This includes their involvement in a recent attack on Fulani herdsmen, which resulted in the killing of two cows. The stolen cows were reportedly shared among various cult groups within Ibesikpo Asutan,” she said. bhad bhabie baby daddy
John added that efforts were ongoing to apprehend other gang members who escaped and recover their operational weapons.
The spokesperson also stated that further developments would be shared with the public as they unfold.
