In celebration of President Bola Tinubu’s third year in office, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has authorized the advancement of 3,592 civil servants. This decision follows the completion of the 2025 promotional evaluation process overseen by the FCT Civil Service Commission.
Emeka Ezeh, the Commission’s Chairman, explained that the promotion examinations for senior personnel took place between July 1 and 3, while junior staff completed their assessments on July 10. Ezeh stated that this initiative aligns with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the administration’s dedication to employee welfare.
Minister Wike has further instructed the Commission to initiate the 2026 promotion cycle immediately to prevent backlogs. Ezeh noted that this proactive approach ensures that staff growth keeps pace with the infrastructure improvements currently transforming the territory. He praised the workforce for their professional conduct during the evaluation and expressed gratitude to the Joint Union Action Committee for their collaborative support. Candidates for the upcoming 2026 cycle are encouraged to begin preparations early, as promotions remain strictly merit-based and contingent upon available vacancies.
