Eze cautions Okonkwo over remarks regarding Amaechi

ADC chieftain Eze Chukwuemeka Eze has warned Kenneth Okonkwo against making negative comments about Rotimi Amaechi, arguing that such remarks harm party unity before the 2027 elections.

Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a high-ranking member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has issued a warning to Barrister Kenneth Okonkwo, the spokesperson for presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar. Eze criticized recent comments made by Okonkwo regarding Rotimi Amaechi, the former Minister of Transportation, ahead of the 2027 elections.

Okonkwo had suggested that Atiku had no choice but to select Amaechi as his running mate. Eze labeled these remarks as insulting and damaging, noting that Atiku is an experienced politician capable of making his own strategic decisions. Furthermore, Eze argued that such rhetoric undermines Amaechi’s long political career, which includes serving as the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, a two-term Governor, and a prominent federal minister.

Eze emphasized that Amaechi’s inclusion on the ticket should be seen as a strategic asset rather than an imposition. He urged ADC members to prioritize party unity and adopt more professional communication strategies to ensure a strong performance in the upcoming general elections. According to Eze, maintaining internal cohesion is essential for the party to present a credible alternative to voters.
