Dan Bernard, the estranged husband of singer Sia, has made several financial requests in their ongoing divorce proceedings after less than two years of marriage.
Sia filed for divorce earlier this year, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple married in 2023 and quietly welcomed a baby named Somersault in 2024. In her filing, Sia requested legal and physical custody of their child.
New court documents obtained by Billboard and E! News reveal that Dan is seeking over $250,000 in monthly spousal support. A former radiation oncologist, Dan reportedly left his job because Sia disliked his long work hours.
The couple later opened a ketamine clinic in Los Angeles in 2021, which Dan claims Sia has since stopped funding. He also stated that his medical license has expired, preventing him from returning to his previous career.
Dan described himself as financially dependent on Sia, calling her the “breadwinner.” He emphasized that they lived a “luxurious and upper-class lifestyle,” spending more than $400,000 monthly on fine dining, private jet trips, and staff salaries.
He further noted that Sia gifted him a Porsche 911 Targa 4 after their wedding.
In addition to spousal support, Dan has requested $300,000 for attorney’s fees and $200,000 for forensic accounting expenses.
