Ekiti Police Confirm Safe Recovery of Abducted Church Members

Ekiti security forces have successfully rescued the worshippers who were kidnapped from the Christ Apostolic Church in Eda-Oniyo on April 28.

Authorities in Ekiti State have successfully freed the individuals who were kidnapped during a raid on the Christ Apostolic Church in Eda-Oniyo on April 28. SP Sunday Abutu, the police spokesperson, announced the news in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.

The recovery mission was the result of strategic intelligence gathering and a joint operation conducted by the police, the military, the Amotekun Corps, local hunters, and state government officials. Following their release, the victims were transferred to a medical facility for health assessments and treatment.

Commissioner of Police Falade Adegoroye praised the unified efforts of all security personnel and recognized the consistent backing provided by Governor Biodun Oyebanji. The commissioner emphasized that the police are actively working to locate the perpetrators.
