Recent months in Nigeria have been marked by intense heat, creating significant discomfort for people navigating public spaces and maintaining daily hygiene routines.
To address these challenges, Dettol Cool has launched the second iteration of its #OwnTheSweat campaign, focusing on practical solutions for active individuals.
The campaign centers on the Dettol Cool antibacterial bar soap, which provides three core benefits: 99% germ protection, a cooling sensation that reduces skin temperature by five degrees, and effective, long-lasting odor control.
By integrating these products into fitness hubs and community environments, the brand aims to demonstrate how hygiene fits naturally into a busy, active lifestyle.
Throughout the initiative, Dettol Cool hosted pop-up events featuring interactive fitness challenges and dance competitions.
Notably, at the Lagos NYSC camp, fitness expert Ekemini “Kemen” Ekerette led sessions where participants were rewarded as ‘Cool Champions’ for their efforts.
Boma Harrison, Marketing Director at Reckitt West Africa, stated that the goal of the campaign was to provide tangible experiences in active environments.
By engaging users directly where they exercise, the brand aims to prove that maintaining freshness and hygiene is achievable even under demanding physical conditions.
