During the All Progressives Congress (APC) state-wide gratitude tour, governorship candidate Hon. Salihu-Yakubu Danladi pledged to meet the expectations of the Kwara Central Senatorial District residents if he wins in 2027. The tour, which visited Asa and Ilorin West Local Government Areas, featured engagements with traditional leaders, government officials, and party members.
Danladi, who serves as the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for maintaining national stability. He emphasized that the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has established a foundation of progress that his candidacy intends to continue. Addressing the crowd, Danladi urged party unity and reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Kwara State.
Several party stakeholders echoed this sentiment. Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya expressed certainty in the party’s upcoming victory, noting that the populace prefers current progress over a return to previous governance. Alhaji Abdullateef Gidado Alakawa praised Danladi as a capable grassroots leader who provided essential legislative backing for the governor’s programs. Additionally, Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja highlighted the tangible improvements in local infrastructure, education, and healthcare within Asa.
Traditional leaders, acting under the direction of the Emir of Ilorin, welcomed the delegation, offering prayers for the success of the party. The event concluded with calls for internal party cohesion, as supporters were encouraged to remain loyal and dedicated to the outcomes of the primary elections to ensure a unified front for the 2027 polls.
