Content Creator Retracts False Claims Regarding Governor Soludo’s Son

Ejike Ofoegbu, publisher of Igbo Time Magazine, has publicly apologized after admitting to creating fake videos impersonating Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s son, Ozonna.

Ejike Ofoegbu, the individual behind Igbo Time Magazine, has confessed to producing and distributing misleading videos across social media. In these posts, he deceptively portrayed himself as Ozonna Soludo, the son of Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Ofoegbu released a subsequent video to clarify that his earlier depictions were entirely made up. He issued a formal apology to the Governor, the Soludo family, and the general public. He specifically corrected misinformation concerning claims that Governor Soludo had disowned his son, as well as several fictional quotes he had attributed to Ozonna regarding his father and other notable figures.

The publisher explained that his primary motivation for creating the deceptive content was to boost engagement and drive advertising revenue on social media platforms. He has promised to remove the videos and publish formal retractions where the misinformation was originally spread. While Ofoegbu has expressed remorse, it remains unconfirmed whether he faces legal consequences or arrest, as authorities have yet to release an official update on the matter.
