Swansea City winger Cameron Congreve is finalizing a move to the Belgian top-tier club Westerlo in a deal worth over one million pounds. The 22-year-old, a graduate of the Swansea youth academy, attracted interest following a successful loan period at Scottish Premiership side Dundee last season.
His performances during that campaign also led to his debut for the senior national team in June matches against Ghana and Romania. While there was anticipation that he might compete for a regular spot at Swansea for the 2026-27 season, the club has opted to allow his transfer. The agreement includes performance-based incentives and a future sell-on clause, alongside a right of first refusal for Swansea.
Having been with the Swans since he was nine, Congreve departs after making 19 senior appearances and recording three league starts for the team. His recent career trajectory includes scoring six goals in 47 matches for Bromley during the 2024-25 season, followed by three goals in 36 appearances for Dundee. This departure follows the recent sale of Welsh international Liam Cullen to Leicester City.
