Brock Lesnar Retires from Professional Wrestling Following SummerSlam Loss

WWE legend Brock Lesnar has officially retired from professional wrestling following his defeat to Oba Femi at SummerSlam 2026.

WWE icon Brock Lesnar has confirmed his departure from professional wrestling following his loss in a Hell in a Cell match at the 2026 SummerSlam event. During the contest held in his home state of Minnesota, Lesnar was defeated by Nigerian athlete Oba Femi.

During a guest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Lesnar stated that the SummerSlam match served as the conclusion of his career. Expressing gratitude to his fans, he described the match as an emotional milestone. Lesnar noted that he first contemplated retirement after a previous loss to the Lagos-born wrestler at WrestleMania 42, admitting he felt unable to continue at that time. He chose to return for SummerSlam because he believed he still possessed competitive drive, but he has now finalized his decision to step away from the wrestling ring permanently.
