A devastating blaze at a Bangkok bar has claimed the lives of at least 27 individuals, according to reports from Thai media outlets. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after midnight to find customers escaping the burning structure through the main entrance.
Video footage circulating online depicts intense flames erupting from the establishment as panicked patrons attempted to flee. Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul confirmed the death toll to reporters on-site, noting that several injured victims have been transported to medical facilities. Officials have not yet determined the origin of the inferno.
Situated in the Chatuchak District, the site is known as a prominent restaurant and entertainment venue. While firefighting crews successfully contained the blaze within 30 minutes, interior images reveal extensive fire damage, including collapsed ceilings and charred remains. Reports from Thairath indicate that search efforts are ongoing as some individuals remain unaccounted for.
