Dr. Ben Nwoye, the Deputy National Chairman for the South of the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently asserted that the outcome of the 2027 general election will rely on tangible accomplishments rather than loud political campaigning. Addressing attendees at the Enugu Youth Summit on Wednesday, Nwoye encouraged party supporters to focus on sharing concrete data regarding the government’s achievements.
Nwoye emphasized that while the opposition is a factor, the APC intends to run its campaign by highlighting specific developmental strides. He pointed to initiatives like President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s student loan program as evidence of the party’s impact. According to Nwoye, the party’s strategy involves presenting physical evidence of progress at both the federal and state levels to win over voters.
Other speakers at the event included Enugu State Government Secretary Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, who advised young people to avoid corruption and seek guidance from mentors when pursuing leadership roles. Peter Chime, an aide to the Governor, highlighted that both President Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah have actively included youths in their administrations. Furthermore, APC Deputy National Youth Leader Hon. Jamaluddeen Kabir expressed confidence that the quality of governance provided by the party will secure a strong performance in the upcoming 2027 elections.
