The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, believes his party is set to win the Osun State governorship race scheduled for August 15. Yilwatda stated that the APC possesses both the political framework and the capability required to secure the state government house.
During the launch of the party’s National Campaign Council for the election, Yilwatda reaffirmed that the APC is the dominant political entity in Nigeria and is prepared to reclaim its position in Osun. He confirmed that the party will utilize its resources, including national assembly members, governors, and local leaders, to achieve this goal.
Yilwatda emphasized that the Osun contest is a vital step for the party’s strategy leading into the 2027 general elections. He expressed his strong belief that their candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge successful. To bolster this effort, the APC plans to boost its local engagement efforts to win over residents throughout the state.
