Adamawa State Police Free Abducted Man

A joint force of Adamawa police and local hunters rescued Alhaji Rabe Suleiman, who was kidnapped on June 26 and held in the Morogma Mountains.

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, a joint security operation involving the Adamawa State Police and local hunters successfully secured the release of Alhaji Rabe Suleiman. He had been kidnapped from his home in Roma Village, Song Local Government Area, during the early hours of June 26.

Acting on reliable information, the security forces located the captors near the Morogma Mountains. A fierce gun battle ensued between the authorities and the criminals. Police spokesperson Suleiman Nguroje noted that the security team’s tactical advantage forced the kidnappers to retreat into the mountains, likely sustaining gunshot injuries while leaving their captive behind unharmed.

Authorities seized a Beretta pistol, ammunition, and various personal items, including charms, from the site. Following a medical evaluation, Suleiman has been safely returned to his family.
