Dr. Gbenga Hashim, the Accord Party presidential candidate, has issued a stern warning against electoral violence regarding the upcoming Osun State gubernatorial election. In an official statement, Hashim cautioned that individuals inciting unrest could encounter legal repercussions, emphasizing that the democratic right to vote must be protected.
This advisory comes in response to reports of controversial remarks allegedly made by Senator Francis Fadahunsi, who represents the Osun East Senatorial District. While Fadahunsi has reportedly disputed these claims, the incident sparked widespread public concern. Hashim labeled any calls for violence as intolerable, noting that political disagreement should never compromise human safety or the integrity of the election.
