A Nigerian entrepreneur is seeking assistance after stating that his business site in Abuja was leveled without warning, resulting in significant financial damage and job losses for hundreds of workers. In an emotional video posted on the social media platform X, the man explained that he had secured a £75,000 loan in the United Kingdom to fund his return and investment in Nigeria.
The business owner stated that his facility was finished just one year ago before authorities arrived with bulldozers to destroy it, providing no prior notice. He emphasized that he operated independently of government contracts and had funded the project entirely with his own capital from abroad. He expressed deep frustration, noting that the destruction has left him struggling to manage his debt obligations.
Beyond his personal financial ruin, the businessman highlighted that the closure has displaced approximately 84 direct employees and roughly 300 individuals whose livelihoods depended on the site. While he expressed extreme disillusionment with the state of affairs, he did not specify which government agency carried out the demolition.
