The Accord Party, under the leadership of Maxwell Mgbudem, has declared its full support for the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming Osun governorship race. The party asserts that the governor’s developmental record ensures he retains the public’s backing.
National Publicity Secretary Joseph Omorogbe confirmed the party’s stance in a recent discussion, emphasizing that their confidence rests on the governor’s past achievements. Omorogbe dismissed concerns regarding external pressure, noting that the party is prepared for the election and trusts that the will of the voters will remain paramount.
The party has formally requested that the Independent National Electoral Commission conduct the process with total transparency and neutrality. Omorogbe stressed the importance of a peaceful environment, warning that any attempts at voter intimidation or electoral disruption should be avoided. He emphasized that individual political goals are secondary to the safety and lives of Osun residents.
Furthermore, Accord leadership has called upon police and security personnel to maintain strict impartiality throughout the voting exercise. Citizens are encouraged to participate in high numbers, resist any offers to sell their votes, and maintain order. The party anticipates that the results will favor Governor Adeleke, allowing him to continue his governance agenda for another four years.
