Officers from the Lagos State Police Command have taken four individuals into custody who are accused of involvement in a string of murders, armed robberies, and cult activities within the Ajah area. The arrests followed a focused investigation, as reported by command spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi.
The detainees are Kareem Abiodun, 26; Tansiru Emmanuel, 29; Lateef Usman, 28; and Alashe Azeez, 32. Early findings suggest the group operated across Ajah, Sangotedo, and Ibeju-Lekki. The suspects have reportedly confessed to their participation in various violent crimes. During the raid, police confiscated three homemade pistols, ammunition, two battle axes, and a POS machine.
The men are currently being held while detectives work to capture other gang members and locate further evidence. Once the investigation wraps up, they will face formal charges. Lagos State Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai praised the officers for their persistence and instructed them to keep targeting the remaining criminals. He reinforced the department’s commitment to using intelligence-led policing to combat violent crime and encouraged local residents to notify the police of suspicious activity using official emergency lines.
