Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL) recently provided free medical services to more than 2,700 people living in Imogbara, Odo-Ijesha, and Iperindo. The event, which took place on August 7th and 8th, 2026, was the company’s 4th Annual Community Medical Outreach. A significant aspect of this year’s effort was the expansion of the SegunCare programme, which now offers deeper mental health support alongside its standard chronic disease management.
The upgraded SegunCare initiative now features counseling services for those managing long-term health conditions, rehabilitation resources for substance abuse, educational outreach to dispel myths regarding chronic illness, and patient support groups designed to reduce social isolation. These additions highlight SROL’s commitment to treating both the physical and mental well-being of the local population.
Since its inception in 2025, SegunCare has managed the health of roughly 279 individuals by providing ongoing monitoring and monthly medicine. Following the most recent outreach, another 50 residents have joined the program. Dr. Princewill Osuchukwu, the Medical Services Manager at SROL, noted that the goal is to move beyond short-term relief by providing sustainable, holistic healthcare.
Community member Adeshina Sherifat shared that the consistent access to medication and monitoring has significantly improved her quality of life, replacing her previous struggle to afford monthly treatments with a sense of security. Hon. Soji Gbege, Chairman of the Iperindo Community Development Agreement Committee, emphasized that the company’s long-term reliability has fostered deep trust within the area. Over its lifetime, the annual outreach initiative has assisted over 13,000 residents, representing a broader investment by SROL into the social and economic welfare of its host communities.
