The Nigerian Law School has verified the death of an Enugu Campus student who was participating in an externship programme in Lagos. The individual, who had been staying at the Lagos Campus hostel for the duration of their placement, passed away after a fall from the rooftop during the early hours of Friday, August 7, 2026.
Aderonke Osho, the Secretary to the Council and Director of Administration, stated that the event took place at approximately 4:00 a.m. The institution is currently cooperating with relevant authorities and the student’s family to investigate the details of the tragedy.
In an official message, the school expressed its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and peers. The institution has also requested that the public and the media honor the family’s desire for privacy as they cope with the loss. Furthermore, the Nigerian Law School emphasized its ongoing dedication to protecting the safety and welfare of all its students and staff members.
