A faction of the Nigerian Democratic Congress in Anambra State has officially opened a new state headquarters in Awka. State Chairman Chukwudifu Patrick David stated that this facility serves as a central location to organize party activities and improve internal unity. During the opening event, David promised that his administration would prioritize the contributions of all members and maintain an open-door policy for resolving grievances.
David emphasized the importance of staying committed to party principles to ensure future success at the polls. He encouraged members to remain united as a single family, suggesting that recent internal challenges have been necessary for long-term growth.
Representatives from the 21 local government areas attended the ceremony to show their support. Chief Emmanuel Ifefiora, the Oyi Local Government Area Chairman, praised the state leadership for their effective management. Furthermore, the Anaocha LGA Chairman, Nestor Alike, proposed a formal vote of confidence in David’s leadership, which was seconded by Anambra East LGA Chairman Paul Okolo. This motion served to solidify support for the current administration and counter rumors regarding party fragmentation.
