A resident of Aba in Abia State, Sarah Nwaorji, is currently in police custody following the alleged fatal stabbing of her husband, Innocent Nwaorji. The pair, originally from the Amaise Umuokereke-Ngwa community of Obingwa, were living near the Seven-Up Company facility in Aba North when the tragedy unfolded.
Reports indicate the couple had been married since December 2025 and were childless at the time of the incident. Witnesses mentioned that the husband and wife were involved in a dispute last Friday. By Sunday night at approximately 10:00 p.m., neighbors were informed that the wife had killed her husband.
Friends of the victim expressed disbelief, noting that Innocent was known for his calm and mild-mannered personality. His remains have been taken to a local mortuary. As of this report, Abia State Police Command spokesperson DSP Maureen Chinaka had not provided a response regarding the investigation.
