Trump Publicly Endorses Former Presidential Candidate, Billionaire Vivek Ramaswamy, for Governor Role

Ahead of the 2026 Ohio gubernatorial election, President Donald Trump has announced his endorsement of Vivek Ramaswamy, a Republican candidate.

Vivek Ramaswamy, an Ohio native and billionaire who previously ran against Trump in the Republican presidential primary, officially launched his campaign during a rally in West Chester Township on Monday evening, February 24.

In response, Trump shared a post on his Truth Social account on Tuesday morning, describing Vivek as a good person who genuinely loves America.

The former U.S. President pledged his full support for the 39-year-old entrepreneur, expressing confidence that Ramaswamy would make a great governor.

Trump wrote,

“VIVEK RAMASWAMY is running for Governor of the Great State of Ohio. I know him well, competed against him, and he is something SPECIAL. He’s Young, Strong, and Smart!

“Vivek is also a very good person, who truly loves our Country. He will be a GREAT Governor of Ohio, will never let you down, and has my COMPLETE AND TOTAL ENDORSEMENT!”
