Prophet Itunu Onadeko, the fiance of the late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, has stated that she died while at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos. During an interview with the Celestial Reality Check, he disputed circulating rumors that her death resulted from cancer, poisoning, or mistreatment.
Onadeko explained that he was notified of the tragedy via an anonymous phone call shortly after midnight. Although he was unable to identify the specific station where the incident occurred, he turned himself in at a local facility as a precaution. He noted that Osoba had been visiting a church operator named Mrs. Kehinde Osoba at the time, having failed to meet with him due to his conflicting church obligations.
Addressing the public interest surrounding her passing, Onadeko clarified that while Osoba had previously fought breast cancer—even announcing a full recovery in 2024—her battle with the disease was not the cause of death. He also firmly denied accusations of financial misconduct, asserting that he never controlled the donations intended for her medical treatment, which were deposited directly into her own accounts. He further defended his integrity, stating that his church was established long before he met the actress. Tope Osoba, aged 40, passed away on Wednesday.
