Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri, recently utilized an electric scooter to personally review the progress of his fifth coronation anniversary preparations in the Okere community of Delta State. The monarch combined this official inspection with his morning exercise, escorted by his security detail.
Local residents expressed excitement upon seeing the king, offering cheers as he traveled through the streets. A video of the event, which was uploaded to the monarch’s official Facebook page on Saturday, highlighted his dual focus on community oversight and physical health. Social media users have responded positively, commending the King for his modern approach and approachable nature.
This unconventional style of transit is not new for the Olu of Warri. He has previously navigated the streets of Ode-Itsekiri and inspected road projects in the state using an electric scooter, moving away from traditional motorcades to engage more directly with his people.
