Harvey Barron hat-trick leads Hull FC past struggling St Helens

Harvey Barron scored three tries to help Hull FC defeat St Helens, leaving the Saints in danger of missing the Super League play-offs.

Harvey Barron reached ten tries for the season as his impressive performance secured a rare victory for Hull FC at the BrewDog Stadium, ending a nine-year wait for a win at the venue. The 23-year-old winger scored twice in the first half and added a third after the break, helping Hull break a seven-game losing streak in the Super League.

For St Helens, the result is another setback in a difficult campaign. Currently sitting in seventh place with only five games left, the injury-hit team is at serious risk of missing the Super League play-offs for the first time in history. Following a recent loss to the York Knights, this home defeat against a team near the bottom of the table is a significant blow to their season.
