Security forces have apprehended a medical practitioner from Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State for allegedly treating injured bandits, including the infamous Usman Modi Modi, who has a N50 million bounty on his head.

In a video obtained by security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect, Lawan Ado, admitted to providing medical care to multiple wounded bandits.

He revealed that the bandits would escort him to their hideouts whenever they required medical assistance.

Ado stated that the first bandit he treated was Usman Modi Modi, who had sustained gunshot wounds during a clash with the Yan Kyanbara vigilante group.

“He was first taken to a hospital in Taskiya for treatment, but two days later, they brought me to treat him further. I was paid N18,000 for my service,” the suspect said.

He also confessed to treating other high-profile bandits, including Mai Kudi, who was shot in Kurfi and paid him N8,000.

Additionally, he provided medical care to Audu, an aide to Usman Modi Modi, who also paid N8,000.

Dogo Mardi, who sustained gunshot wounds during a robbery operation, compensated him with N11,000.

The suspect further disclosed that he had traveled to various locations to treat bandits, including one known as Karanboguwa and several others.
