Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has declared he will emerge victorious in the upcoming August 15 governorship election, provided the process remains transparent and equitable. The governor shared his outlook while campaigning in Osogbo this Monday, emphasizing his faith in the outcome.
Addressing the current political climate, Adeleke claimed that supporters of the Accord Party are facing fatal attacks. He petitioned President Bola Tinubu to intervene by ensuring police conduct is strictly professional and neutral. The governor reminded the President of his history as a champion of democracy, urging him to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
Adeleke stressed that the global community is monitoring the situation, noting that the election serves as a precursor to the 2027 general polls. He called on his supporters to participate in large numbers on voting day, encouraging them to monitor their ballots until the final results are announced. The governor reaffirmed his commitment to a victory secured entirely through the ballot box.
