Rivers Landlord’s Son Flees After Failed Attempt to Rape Tenant’s 15-Year-Old Daughter
The son of a landlord, identified only as Junior, is currently on the run after allegedly attempting to sexually assault his 15-year-old tenant’s daughter in the Elele community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State.
A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity revealed that the suspect had approached his tenant’s children, aged eight and 15, last Friday to inquire whether their father would be returning home that night.
The unsuspecting children informed him that their father would not be returning that night.
Around 1 a.m. the following day (Saturday night), Junior reportedly broke into the tenant’s house and attempted to assault the 15-year-old, who was lying down with her siblings.
“He started romancing her and removing her underwear. At this point, the girl woke up when she felt a hand touching her underwear and grabbed Junior’s hand. But Junior punched her and escaped through the window,” the source said.
The source stated that the teenage girl quickly turned on her flashlight and recognized the fleeing man as the landlord’s son. She raised an alarm, which attracted neighbors to the scene.
The father of the teenager, Felix, confirmed the incident and said he had reported the matter to the police.
“I have reported the matter to the Elele Police Division. He (Junior) broke into my house at midnight in my absence and made attempts to r3pe my daughter who is 15 years old. He ran away after what he did because we have not seen him after that day,” he said.
