Lewis-Skelly burst onto the scene in the 2024-25 season as Mikel Arteta guided Arsenal to a second-place league finish and a deep run in Europe. Despite earning a PFA Young Player of the Year nomination and a new contract, the 19-year-old struggled for minutes behind Riccardo Calafiori early on. He eventually broke through late in the campaign, helping the club capture their first league title since 2004 and reach the Champions League final, where they fell to PSG on penalties.

While Arsenal currently wishes to keep the midfielder, their stance could shift if Mikel Arteta completes high-profile signings for Bruno Guimaraes and Vinicius Junior. Such acquisitions might force a squad thinning process in north London. Meanwhile, despite his strong finish to the season, Lewis-Skelly was not selected for Thomas Tuchel’s England World Cup roster.
