Wrexham’s Global Profile Soars During US Summer Tour

Wrexham’s international reach has reached new heights, evidenced by a high-profile kit launch in New York and record-breaking revenue following successful tours of the United States.

Wrexham continues to cement its status as a major global brand, evidenced by the club ringing the Nasdaq bell in New York City to unveil their 2026-27 home kit. Icons of the club joined the event in Times Square, showcasing their partnership with yet another international sponsor. This cross-Atlantic visibility remains unmatched by most Championship or even Premier League teams.

Co-owners Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds noted that the fan reception in America has exceeded expectations, necessitating a third tour in four summers. This professional expansion marks a significant evolution from 2021, when the team played against lower-league opposition. During this current tour, Wrexham secured a 3-2 victory over Leeds United and faced Liverpool at Yankee Stadium, drawing over 42,000 spectators for the latter match.

While the tour serves as vital branding, manager Phil Parkinson faces the challenge of balancing commercial commitments with necessary preparation for the upcoming competitive season. The team has navigated extensive travel across the US, Poland, and Finland. Despite these physical demands, the club achieved a record revenue of £33.3 million in 2024-25, with nearly 60% of turnover originating outside the UK. Projections suggest earnings could reach £50 million by mid-2026 as the club continues to invest in infrastructure like the new Kop Stand at the Racecourse Ground and strategic leadership hires.
