Last week, pupils from three different universities in Lagos competed to create innovative clean energy concepts. The event, hosted by All On Partnerships for Energy Access, celebrated the company’s decade of service by highlighting young talent in Nigeria’s energy sector.
Students from the University of Lagos, Lagos State University, and Yaba College of Technology formed six teams. They spent a day addressing energy obstacles in fields like education, healthcare, farming, and logistics. A panel of industry experts evaluated their proposals.
The victory went to the team known as Current Creators. They designed ColdLink, a digital tool meant to boost the efficiency of cold-chain logistics powered by renewables. The platform uses predictive analytics and real-time monitoring to cut down on food waste.
All On CEO Caroline Eboumbou stated that this initiative aligns with the organization’s history of supporting clean energy. Over ten years, the company has invested roughly $47 million in fifty firms, providing better energy access to 1.6 million people. Judges for the competition included experts from SFM Limited, Carbon Limits Nigeria, Green Hub Africa, and All On.
