Real Madrid Makes £85 Million Move for Yan Diomande

Real Madrid joins the race for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande with an £85 million bid, but the German club remains firm on a higher valuation despite the player’s interest in PSG.

Real Madrid has lodged a formal £85 million bid—consisting of £75 million guaranteed and £10 million in performance-based variables—for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, as reported by Sky Germany. This development follows a similar £85 million approach from Liverpool, which was also turned down by the Bundesliga club.

While Paris Saint-Germain has not yet submitted a formal proposal, discussions have occurred between PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Leipzig executive Oliver Mintzlaff. The Ivory Coast international prefers a move to the French capital and has reached a verbal agreement on a contract extending through 2031.

RB Leipzig maintains a firm stance, insisting that a €100 million valuation is insufficient to secure the player. The German club is holding out for a significantly higher transfer fee, meaning that a secondary, improved bid from Real Madrid could potentially disrupt Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit.
